These are great 5 tips in how to deal with disappointment. post on how to deal with disappointment. #2 Putting things into perspective gives the bigger picture of things. When we see things in the longer-term, suddenly it becomes obvious that the short-term nicks really aren't issues at all.

I'd also like to add that acceptance is one of the critical first steps in dealing with disappointment. Disappointment comes from not being able to accept the reality as it is (which is a gap vs. the person's mental reality), and when one accepts the reality, it results in a mental shift which is liberating.

On a similar note, I wrote a detailed 4-part series on How To Deal With Disappointment: http://celestinechua.com/blog/2009/01/why-disappointment-is-good/

Great post. While we can figure out a lot of things about life and the world, there are some things that seem to defy our ability to reason through them. Enjoy those things, whether yo consider them challenges to solve or proof of the divine.

The biggest stress buster for me has been the ability to let go. Letting go not of the responsibility but the emotions that come with responsibility. Its not always easy to do though. :)

There are more than a hundred packages for mind mapping.

Readers without the $150 that it takes for one of the pricey but very capable packages can consider lower cost alternatives that still support making high-quality mind maps.

Examples are Xmind, FreeMind and VUE.
