Unfortunately some people focus on car maintenance more than they do their own personal maintenance, and that’s a fact. Another fact is that the average life span of men and women is roughly 80 years, but the truth of the matter is that many men and women feel – and look – - closer to the age of 80 than they really are, mainly because the world is too fast paced today for people to keep up with their physical – and hence often mental – fitness.
Some ways to tell if people are prematurely again are if they have:
- Poor posture
- Dry, sagging skin
- Slow, unsteady walk (carrying around extra pounds)
- Painful joints
- Negative “self” images because of a poor real images.
- Moodiness and bouts with depression
- Too much stress, anxieties and worries
- Difficulty going up or down stairs, running lightly for a short distance and / or concentrating.
A sad thing is that when people feel so bad on the outside, they are probably doing bad on the inside. They are probably suffering from or beginning to suffer from clogged arteries, too much sugar and fat in their diets, diabetes, high blood pressure and heart and other diseases. And the number one reason for all these issues is lack of exercise in a regular manner.
Regardless of age, everyone should be including fitness into their daily schedules. In fact some fitness gurus like Denise Austin have designed some fitness routines that take only 1 minute, to help out with this dilemma. With her techniques and those of other fitness gurus, fitness participants should benefit greatly from regular fitness with improvements in life like:
- Walking more lightly with a spring in your step
- Enjoying increased energy throughout the day
- Waking up refreshed
- Feeling more positive
- Sleeping better
- Enjoying improved health and longer lives
Suggestions on how much time you should spend per week on exercise can be either 30 minutes, three to four times a week, or 20 minutes for five days per week.
